Oxnard Police Locate Truck Belonging To 26-Year-Old Murder Victim

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Officials in Oxnard say they have located the truck belonging to a 26-year-old murder victim.

Authorities believed if they found the vehicle it would bring them closer to finding out who fatally stabbed Juan Carlos Garcia Friday.

Garcia's black 1997 Nissan truck was last seen near where the victim's body was found,  in the 1500 block of Alturas Street about 9:19 a.m.

Police found the vehicle Sunday in the Nyeland Acres area. They said the truck was unoccupied.

A motive for the stabbing was not immediately known but police do not believe the crime was gang-related.
