Corona Family Creates Life-Sized Igloo Out Of Milk Jugs

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — A Corona family created a life-sized igloo out of milk jugs.

"It's been a real family thing, all putting it together. My brother-in-law, my niece, my nephew, my mother," Mary Leatherman said.

Each year, the Leatherman family throws a holiday party and toy drive. The igloo is meant to dazzle the partygoers and give them something to talk about.

The inspiration for the igloo came from the website Pinterest. After recruiting friends and family to help, the Leathermans got out the glue and went to work.

"We had all our friends and family drink the milk and save the bottles, and 1,700 bottles later, we have an igloo," Leatherman said. "[We've spent] a total of 16 hours [working], without building the arch, which we still have to do."

"Probably 150 more bottles, then we're going to get a flocking machine out and flock the whole thing," Phil Leatherman said.
