El Monte Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting
EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Police were investigating an early morning officer-involved shooting in El Monte Friday, officials said.
The shooting happened at 3:57 a.m. in the 3500 block of Cogswell Road, El Monte police said.
It was unclear what prompted officers to fire their weapons, however, authorities said an unidentified 34-year-old male suspect was wounded.
He was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
No officers were injured.
Homicide detectives were assisting in the investigation.
