Woman, 42, Goes Missing While Heading To South LA Laundromat

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 42-year-old woman who went missing while heading to a Laundromat in South Los Angeles.

Cela Catalina Escobar was last seen about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of 52nd Street. She was heading to a Laundromat at the corner of 47th Street and Broadway in the Newton area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Escobar was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a blue/gray jacket over a blue shirt, brown pants and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts was urged to contact the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
