Reminisce About Hollywood’s Past At The M*A*S*H Set
By Nicole Cormier
When you’re in Southern California and you want to see a bit of Hollywood history while enjoying the great outdoors and getting some exercise, then the M*A*S*H Set Trail is a must. Located in Malibu Creek State Park, the set was meant to resemble Korea and the park has done well at playing up the nostalgia. A round trip the hike is about 4.75-miles and is fairly flat with only 175 feet of elevation gain, making it quite doable for any able bodied hiker. Seeing the M*A*S*H site will bring back fond memories of days past, so pack a lunch to make the trip the most enjoyable day possible. It is $12 to enter the park, but there are other trails to extend your hike should you feel inclined.
Make the journey up to the M*A*S*H filming site in a vehicle that will have no problem handling the terrain or carting all your gear and hiking buddies. A 2013 SL65 AMG Roadster from Mercedes-Benz of Encino is the ideal way to travel around Los Angeles and the surrounding mountains as it hugs the road like no other.
