LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 32-year-old man was stabbed to death outside a house party in Los Angeles.
The stabbing occurred outside a house in the 2000 block of Thurman Avenue.
Police said they were responding to a call about shots being fired around 12:19 a.m. Sunday morning.
Arriving officers said they observed a man bleeding and being aided by onlookers.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital. He was later declared dead.
An initial police investigation revealed that the victim, identified as David Beltran, was outside the house when an unidentified male approached and stabbed him. The suspect fled on foot, according to authorities.
Officials also believe the suspect also fired shots in Beltran’s direction.
