82nd Hollywood Christmas Parade Held Sunday Evening

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The 82nd Hollywood Christmas Parade kicked off Sunday evening at 6 p.m.

Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, was this year's Grand Marshal.

Artists scheduled to appear or perform include Stevie Wonder, Billy Ray Cyrus, LeAnn Rimes, Kenny Loggins, William Shatner, Richie Sambora, Daughtry, the Goo Goo Dolls and "American Idol" sweethearts-turned-married couple Ace Young (season 5) and Diana DeGarmo (season 3.)

Erik Estrada and travel TV personality Laura McKenzie were the broadcast hosts. Actor Dean Cain and talk show host Montel Williams are "special featured hosts."

Honoring their 40th year on the air, CBS' "The Young and the Restless" stars appeared in a special tribute. Actors include Jessica Collins (Avery), Angell Conwell (Leslie), Doug Davidson (Paul), Daniel Goddard (Cane), Bryton James (Devon), Hunter King (Summer), Christian J. LeBlanc (Michael) and Kristoff St. John (Neil), among others.

Proceeds of the parade will benefit the Marine Toys For Tots campaign.
