LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two women and a young girl were killed early Saturday and four other people were injured after the minivan they were traveling in rolled over on an L.A. freeway connector.
The minivan veered off the northbound connector from the 110 Freeway to the 5 Freeway, hit a concrete wall, flipped and skidded on its side shortly after midnight.
California Highway Patrol says four people were ejected from the vehicle.
The deceased have been identified as Katie Davila, 12; Abigail Romero, 19 and Abigail Estrella, 37. All three were declared dead at the scene.
Authorities say the minivan’s 55-year-old male driver and three passengers were injured in the crash, two of whom were small children. They were taken to USC Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
Romero was from Lancaster. The hometowns of the other deceased were unknown.
