Suspect Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting Near Azusa Restaurant

AZUSA (CBSLA.com) — A suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting Friday, authorities said.

The shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. in a vacant lot of the 700 block of Rockdale Avenue.

Investigators say the incident started when officers tried to pull over a suspected drunken driver.

Police say the suspect briefly attempted to run away before turning towards them with a gun.

Officers reportedly opened fire and killed the man.

No officers were injured.
