Playa Vista Police Believe Burned Body May Have Been A Suicide

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man's body was reportedly found badly burned Friday in Playa Vista.

Police were called to the 5700 block of Mesmer Avenue where a security guard discovered the body behind an abandoned building, the LAPD reported. The area is located in an area behind a CVS store.

The body was sitting upright against a chain link fence, but was not bound to the fence as indicated by initial reports.

Investigators are now calling the man's death a suicide.
