Simi Valley Man Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Female Relative

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 26-year-old Ventura County man Wednesday was facing several sex related charges for allegedly molesting a female family member.

Luis Arturo Polanco was arrested Tuesday while at work on charges of lewd acts upon a child and oral copulation of a person under 14 years of age, Simi Valley police said.

Detectives began investigating the Simi Valley resident in early August after allegations surfaced that he molested a child who was living at the same residence.

"The sexual acts started when the victim was six years old and continued until she was eleven years of age," Det. Cmndr. Tony Anzilotti said.

Polanco is ten years older than the victim, according to authorities.

"Further investigation revealed Polanco is an illegal alien from Guatemala," added Anzilott.

Polanco was being held without bail at the Ventura County Main Jail. He is due in court on Dec. 2.
