Zsa Zsa Gabor Plans On Giving Away 200 Turkeys To Westside Needy

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt will give out 200 turkeys Monday.

Prince Frederic said he will distribute the birds to the Vera Davis McClendon Youth and Family Center in Venice around 10 a.m.

Gabor did community service at that center 24 years ago after she was sentenced for slapping a Beverly Hills police officer.

"We decided to make Thanksgiving a part of the people's lives at the center when Zsa Zsa was helping out and bought 24 turkeys that year," said Prince Frederic. "This year we're delivering 200!"

Although the woman the center was named for died several years ago, Prince Frederic said he and his wife have kept up the tradition of giving.

"We want to make it a happy and full Thanksgiving for everyone there," he said.
