Sulfuric Acid Spill Sickens 30 Employees At Nearby Carson Business

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — A sulfuric acid spill sickened 30 people at a business in Carson Monday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 20900 block of South Maciel Avenue.

Sky2's Derek Bell reported that the workers from Brookvale International Corp. complained of burning in their noses and throats.

Ten ambulances were on the scene as dozens were treated on the curb.

Los Angeles County fire reported that the sulfuric acid originated from a nearby chemical company.
