Public's Help Needed To Identify Northrop Grumman Car Burglar

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect who broke into two cars while they were parked at Northrop Grumman.

Northrop Grumman security footage shows a red 2005 Ford Explorer parked next to the victims' vehicles on both days the burglaries occurred, Manhattan Beach police said.

The first burglary happened on Oct. 13. Police say the suspect smashed a window with a gas cap sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon and stole the owner's purse.

On Oct. 26, police say a second burglary was committed between 6:11 and 6:21 p.m., when the burglar smashed the vehicle's rear window and stole the victim's purse and Apple iPad.

Anyone with information about the Ford Explorer or the burglaries can call Manhattan Beach police Detective Shawn Thompson at (310)802-5124 or email him at sthompson@citymb.info.
