LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Unified School District will partner with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the A.C. Green Foundation for the first LAUSD 5K “Move It” Challenge and Free Health Festival.

The event will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Dodger Stadium, 1000 Elysian Park Ave.

Attendees can participate in the 5K run/walk, free health screenings, games and dancing. There will also be local, free food from a Farmer’s Market.

The fundraiser is expected to raise awareness among students, employees and community members about the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

It will also raise money for the funding of the LAUSD’s Wellness Centers, which offer health and wellness programs and services to students and their families.
