Authorities Search For Man Who Robbed Newport Beach Gas Station

NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday were searching for a man who robbed an Orange County gas station.

The suspect jumped the counter of an Arco gas station at Birch and Bristol streets just before 12:30 p.m., according to the Newport Beach Police Department.

Authorities say the man fled with an unknown amount of cash.

It wasn't immediately clear if the man was armed.

No injuries were reported.

It was unclear when security footage would be released.
