Mother Of 2 Goes Missing After Leaving Inglewood Nightclub

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a mother of two who disappeared after leaving an Inglewood nightclub last week.

Authorities say 30-year-old Iya Sloan, of Los Angeles, stepped outside of the Savoy Entertainment Center in the 200 block of South La Brea Avenue around 1 a.m. Nov. 6 while she was out with friends.

When it was time for the group of friends to leave, Sloan couldn't be found.

Kalisha Barnes was with Sloan that night and has her purse, wallet and keys.

"Nobody has seen her. It's like she just vanished," Barnes said.

Friends said they asked the club's manager if they had surveillance video from that night, but were told they didn't.

Sloan, the mother of 5-year-old twin boys, has never been missing before.

"It's not like her. It's really not. She has kids. She has two little boys that she needs to see," a friend said.

Sloan is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing blue pants with a gray shirt and gray, open-toed shoes.

Anyone with information on Sloan's whereabouts was asked to contact Det. Merrill of the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
