Compton Creek Natural Park Opens At Local Elementary School
COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Local officials Wednesday opened a natural park at an elementary school in Compton.
The Compton Creek Natural Park opened at 10 a.m. on the campus of George Washington Elementary School, 1421 North Wilmington Ave.
The three-acre park, which is located next to the Compton Creek bike path, will serve both students and the public, city officials said.
It features walking paths, fitness equipment, a multi-purpose amphitheater and a community plaza.
The park is part of the Compton Creek Garden Master Plan.
