Fatal Motorcycle Accident Victim In Lake Elsinore Identified As Fontana Man, 24

LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — The CHP has identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash in Lake Elsinore on Saturday.

Officials identified 24-year-old Adrian Cervantes of Fontana as the deceased.

He was killed in the wreck at 10:55 a.m., according to the CHP and the Orange County Coroner. He was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities said Cervantes' Honda motorcycle was speeding and heading east at 60-65 miles per hour when he tried to negotiate a curve in the road, a CHP report said.

Because of his unsafe speed, Cervantes crossed a double yellow line and veered head-on into the path of a westbound 1995 Chevy pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck was not arrested.

The road between Lake Elsinore and San Juan Capistrano was closed for two hours while the crash was investigated.
