Jurupa Valley Man Accused In Series Of Robberies

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A man suspected in a series of robberies in the cities of Riverside and Jurupa Valley has been arrested, authorities said Saturday.

City News Service reported that bail for Thomas K. McGowan was set at $150,000, according to records.

The 31-year-old Jurupa Valley man is accused of robbing a Yum Yum Donuts on Oct. 21, two Shell gas stations, a bakery, and a Circle K weeks later.

Authorities allege that McGowan used a large metal object during the robberies.

McGowan was taken into custody without incident on Friday evening at his home on Big Rock Drive.

He was booked on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and possession of a controlled substance, authorities said.
