Hillary Clinton To Receive 'Hermandad Award' At USC Brunch

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is expected to receive an award at USC on Saturday morning.

The Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative of the U.S.-Mexico Foundation will be presented to Clinton during a brunch. The award is bestowed upon leaders who foster constructive partnerships between Mexico and the United States.

Clinton was also honored Friday for her humanitarian contributions with the Global Champion Award.

That award was presented during the International Medical Corps' 2013 Annual Awards Celebration at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The organization has delivered $1.5 billion in health care services and training to those victims of natural disaster, conflict, famine and disease in more than 70 nations since 1984.

The trip marked Clinton's fourth of the year and second in two weeks to Los Angeles.
