Body Found In Charred Building East Of Downtown LA

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles city firefighters have found a dead person inside a charred building in the industrial district east of downtown, where they had earlier put out a fire.

City News Service reported Saturday that after firefighters extinguished the fire, they were summoned back to a rekindled fire at 6:57 a.m. when they found the body.

City News Service reports that arson and homicide investigators are on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.

Officials had no further details.
