MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were searching for two women suspected of using a stolen credit card to make fraudulent purchases across the South Bay.

According to Manhattan Beach police, a victim's wallet was stolen from her purse while shopping at a Trader Joe's on Oct. 10.

Later that day, the suspects used the woman's credit card to buy an Apple MacBook at an El Segundo Best Buy, Cartier sunglasses at Stein Optometric Center, and $120 worth of cigarettes at a local Vons supermarket.

The "suspects were said to have been portraying a mother-and-daughter relationship to store employees," Det. Shawn Thompson said.

Anyone with information about the women should contact Thompson at (310)802-5124.
