Re-Create Seasonal Spa Treatments Right At Home!

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Brenda Martin, spa director at The Spa at The Inn, and lead spa therapist, Madeline Gawne stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to tell viewers about the spa's seasonal menu and how to re-create some of their treatments at home!

At Home Recipes:

Harvest Spice Scrub

1 c. unrefined sugar

1 c. organic coconut oil

1 tbsp. (heaping) coffee grounds

1 tbsp. allspice

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Sep into the shower and in apply scrub starting with your extremities and using circular motions moving towards the heart. This scrub is too abrasive for the face so only go as high as the décolleté. Rinse the scrub off and gently pat dry. Be careful as the bottom of the shower may be slippery from the coconut oil. Cover and store the remainder of the scrub for up to 1 week.

Pumpkin Mask

2 tbsps. (heaping) pumpkin puree

1 tbsp. raw honey

1 tbsp. plain Greek yogurt

¼ tbsp. Allspice

1 tbsp. organic olive oil

Mix all ingredients and apply to clean, dry skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes to allow time for enzyme in the pumpkin to exfoliate your skin. Rinse the mask off and apply your favorite moisturizer (we recommend organic coconut oil). Cover and store the remainder in the refrigerator for up to five days.
