Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Nov. 5)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We are starting Tuesday out on a dry and gusty note.

Wind advisories and Red Flag warnings are in place today.

A ridge of high pressure is nosing into the Pacific Northwest, creating an on-shore flow. This will help to pump up our daytime highs today and tomorrow.

The overnight lows in wind-protected valleys will be on the cold side.

The worst of the winds will be this morning, then we can expect those winds to relax a bit in the afternoon and tomorrow.

However, we will reach our peak temperatures tomorrow afternoon.

For the end of the week and the weekend, another area of low pressure moves into the West Coast and that will cool us off. Look for the marine layer to return as early as Friday.

Basin - upper 70s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - upper 70s

Mountains - mid to upper 40s

Deserts - upper 60s
