SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A college freshman from Temecula accused in a "sextortion" scheme made a brief appearance in court Monday.
Jared Abrahams, 19, reportedly signed an agreement Oct. 22 agreeing to plead guilty to hacking into computers and hijacking the web cameras of several women, including current Miss Teen USA, Cassidy Wolf.
His alleged victims include women and girls in the United States, Canada, Moldova and Russia.
Abrahams reportedly told the victims he would distribute nude photos of them if they did not meet his demands, which included having online video conversations with him or sending him lewd photos.
