Pomona Police Seek Leads In Deadly Carport Shooting

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday were searching for leads in a deadly shooting inside of a carport.

The victim, described only as a male, was discovered about 2:45 a.m. Saturday in an alley in the 1600 block of East Kingsley Avenue.

Pomona Police Lt. Ron McDonald said officers responded to the location after receiving a call of multiple gunshots in the area. Upon arriving on scene, they located the man inside of a vehicle.

"The victim was suffering from multiple gunshots to the upper torso," McDonald said.

First responders also arrived on scene and administered life-saving measures. However, the victim died at the scene.
