Police Investigate Strong-Arm Robbery In City Of Ventura

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are investigating a strong-arm robbery in the city of Ventura.

Police say three Hispanic men in their early 20s were in a vehicle, which pulled up alongside the victim who was standing on a sidewalk.

It was then that two of the men exited from the passenger side and "proceeded to assault the victim," police said in a department statement.

The statement said the men made off with the victim's undisclosed property.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident, which occurred overnight Sunday in the 1300 block of Saratoga Avenue.

The men reportedly got back inside the car, which then traveled north on Saratoga Avenue toward Telephone Road.
