Lake Elsinore Man Dies In Corona After Car Plummets 300 Feet Down Embankment

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — A Lake Elsinore man was killed after his car tumbled 300 feet down an embankment in Corona on the 15 Freeway.

Officials said the 40-year-old man was speeding in a SUV when he clipped a sedan going southbound.

The crash happened at 1:10 a.m. south of Old Temescal Road, according to authorities.

The victim, who was also ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Riverside County Coroner's office said.
