405 Crash Compounds Traffic Nightmare Near LAX

CULVER CITY (CBSLA.com) — A crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle was causing a traffic nightmare in Culver City.

The collision on the southbound 405 Freeway near Venice Boulevard was reported just before 8:30 p.m. Friday.

The crash was blocking several lanes of the thoroughfare, according to Sky9's Megan Reyes.

"It is absolute gridlock on that southbound 405. That extends all the way from at least Sunset Boulevard," she said.

There was no immediate word on injuries.
