Pooh Hiss! Huntington Beach Police Bust Popular Bear For Expired Tags

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) —  Huntington Beach Police Sunday stopped Winnie the Pooh and cited him for having expired tags.

Pooh was stopped on Adams and West Newland.

Officer Baker made the stop, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department's Facebook page.

The post about Pooh noted that after getting a fix-it ticket, Pooh left "with his honey pot."

By 8 p.m., the post had more than 540 likes and 141 shares. Although some Huntington Beach residents took umbrage at "Poor Pooh" being stopped.

And to the resident who said, "Pooh is a friend of mine. He didn't deserve a ticket," the police shot back, "When you see someone putting on his Big Boots, you can be pretty sure that an Adventure is going to happen," A.A. Milne, author "Winnie-The-Pooh."
