Suspect In Deadly Hit-And-Run Arrested In Hacienda Heights After Police Chase

HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — A suspect in a deadly hit-and-run has been taken into custody following a chase in Hacienda Heights.

Whittier police confirmed to CBS2 that the chase ended at Pepperbrook Park and Country Wood Avenue on Friday evening.

Prior to the pursuit, police allege that the suspect was involved in a hit-and-run crash involving three pedestrians in La Habra.

Authorities said at least two of the pedestrians were transported to the hospital.

Brittney Hopper, reporting for KCAL9, said one of the victims has apparently succumbed to their injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
