2 Hurt In Apparent Pit Bull Attack In South Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say two people have been attacked by a pit bull in South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department says the patients were transported to an area hospital and are expected to survive.

One was said to have sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries.

The condition of the second person was not immediately known.

The incident was reported just after 2:42 p.m. Friday in the 8700 block of South Central.

Sky9's Derek Bell said the dog was tied to a fence for a time. However, animal control officers have since retrieved the animal.

No further information was immediately available.
