STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The 19th Partnership Walk will take place in Los Angeles this Sunday, Oct. 27.
Rizwan Manji, an avid supporter of the Aga Khan Foundation and The Partnership Walk and Shaheen Nanji, an active volunteer with the Aga Khan Foundation USA, visited the KCAL9 studios Friday.
About 2,100 participants will walk to end global poverty in the annual L.A. Partnership Walk at the Santa Monica Pier.
Last year’s Walk raised over $400,000.
All of the funds raised at Partnership Walk go directly to projects supported by the Foundation; not a cent is spent on administration.
The event is a day of fun for the whole family and one that Los Angelenos look forward to every year.
The Walk features lively entertainment and activities for all ages celebrating a rich diversity of cultures. One of the most inspiring features of Partnership Walk is the Village in Action, where participants can enjoy interactive exhibits spotlighting the Foundation’s practical solutions for alleviating poverty from Afghanistan to Zanzibar.
