Boy, 12, Dies After Collapsing At Moreno Valley Middle School
MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 12-year-old boy died Tuesday after collapsing at a middle school in Moreno Valley.
Sheriff's deputies arrived at Vista Heights Middle School in the 23000 block of Old Lake Drive at 12:20 p.m. to find school employees giving the victim CPR.
The boy was taken to the hospital, where he later died, according to sheriff's Sgt. John Del Valle.
"The investigation determined the juvenile collapsed while playing during lunchtime," said Del Valle, who added that the victim had a medical condition that could have contributed to his death.
The investigation is ongoing.
