Suspected Car Thief Flees After Triggering 5-Car Crash In Mid-City

MID-CITY (CBSLA.com) — A suspected car thief went on the run after triggering a multiple vehicle crash at a Mid-City intersection Monday.

The accident took place at the intersection of Washington Blvd. and Redondo Blvd. At least one person was injured, authorities said.

Police said they spotted the stolen car and a short pursuit followed. The crash occurred when the suspect reached the intersection.

The suspect then reportedly fled on foot and has not been caught.
