Woman, 18, Arrested In Deadly Orange Hit-And-Run Crash

ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash in Orange.

Sarah Lauren Fisher, of Orange, is suspected fatally striking a 37-year-old man on Tustin Street earlier this week.

The victim, Lou Biddle, was struck around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday in the southbound lanes of Tustin Street and between Collins and Quincy avenues, according to Orange police Sgt. Fred Lopez.

Authorities say a Good Samaritan stopped in the street to block other drivers from hitting Biddle, who suffered massive head trauma.

According to friends, Biddle was homeless and lived nearby. He had reportedly been trying to meet up with his girlfriend at a nearby grocery store.

"When I heard the sirens, I went over and saw my friend on the ground, and from what I understand, he got hit by a truck and the truck didn't stop," one man said.

Fisher, who was arrested after authorities received a tip, was being held on $50,000 bail.

No other details were immediately available.
