STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Walk this weekend to help find treatments for neurofibromatosis!
Kim Robinson, volunteer relations associate with the Children’s Tumor Foundation, visited KCAL9 Thursday to talk about the 8th Annual LA NF Walk taking place on Sunday.
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is the world’s leading non-government funder of NF research to find effective treatments for neurofibromatosis.
Kim’s 13-year-old son, Blake Robinson, has Neurofibromatosis 1 with an optic glioma and three astrocytomas.
Proceeds from the walk benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation, whose mission is to end neurofibromatosis (NF) through research. Festivities also include live entertainment, face painting, silent and live auctions, pirates, and much more.
The walk takes place at CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Avenue, in Studio City. Registration and check in begin at 8 a.m.
