7-Acre Brush Fire In Unincorporated Corona Contained

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters in Corona have contained a seven-acre fire that broke out in heavy brush this evening.

The blaze was reported at approximately 4:40 p.m. in the area surrounding 3240 Clearing Circle.

The U.S. Forest Service, Cal Fire, Corona Fire and Riverside County Fire worked to extinguish the blaze, which was contained at approximately 7 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the cause of the fire was determined to be outdoor open flame cooking.

Ground resources will remain on the scene approximately four to five hours for mop-up.
