EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Officials Wednesday were investigating an apparent murder-suicide that left three people dead.

El Monte Police officers responded to a call about a “gunshot victim” in the 9900 block of Marshall Street at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Arriving officers discovered three bodies in the garage of a residence.

Detectives believe a man may have shot his adult daughter, as well as another woman, before turning the gun on himself.

Two of the deceased were identified as Evie Maldonado and Harry Maldonado.

The other woman’s identity has not been released.

No other details were immediately available.
