Pedestrian, 63, Killed In Montebello Identified

MONTEBELLO (CNS) —  The 63-year-old man struck and killed by a vehicle in Montebello Friday morning has been identified by the coroner.

Officials said Jose Sandoval was fatally struck about 6:15 a.m.

Sandoval was fatally injured about 6:15 a.m. on Friday while crossing Whittier Boulevard near Concourse Avenue, Montebello police Lt. Mike Flores said.

The motorist stopped at the scene, and was interviewed by police, Flores said.

The investigation into the accident continues, Flores said.
