Man Arrested After Explosion Rocks San Jacinto Neighborhood

SAN JACINTO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday announced the arrest of a 39-year-old man in connection with an explosion that rocked a San Jacinto neighborhood on Friday afternoon.

Dispatchers received a call reporting the explosion about 4:40 p.m. in 1700 block of Rolling Meadows Court.

Upon arriving on scene, authorities say they discovered evidence of an explosion.

Richard Odoardi of San Jacinto was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possessing a destructive device and child endangerment.

Odoardi was booked into Smith Correctional Facility. Jail records indicate that he remained jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The cause of the explosion was not disclosed.
