HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A 26-year-old Simi Valley man was in custody Friday in connection with the stabbing of two men during a group fight in Hollywood in September.

Danny Moreno was arrested Wednesday and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.

Police said two men were eating outside of Leila's Pizza and Deli in the 6700 block of Hollywood Boulevard around 2 a.m. on Sept. 2 when they were attacked following an argument with three or four suspects.

One of the victims was taken to a local hospital and released a short time later, while the other remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Moreno was being held on $570,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing and officials ask anyone with information about the stabbing to contact detectives at (213)972-2931.
