Suspect Sought In Fatal Shooting Of Man, 34, In Westmont

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives Thursday were investigating the shooting death of a man in the Westmont area.

The shooting happened around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of West 107th Street, officials said.

"Detectives have learned that the victim, a 34-year-old male, was shot by the suspect, who is described as a 20- to 25-year-old male Black. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene," Deputy Don Walker said.

Two others were also shot at by the suspect, however, they were uninjured.

The suspect fled the scene westbound on 107th Street in a mid-1980s black Oldsmobile Cutlass.

The identity of the victim was not released.
