Celebrate National Dessert Month With Treats From 'Southern Girl Desserts'

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Catarah Hampshire and Shoneji Robison, co-owners of Southern Girl Desserts, visited KCAL9 Thursday.

To celebrate National Dessert Month, they showed viewers how to prepare pie in a jar.

Hamphire and Robison, winners of Food Network's "Cupcake Wars", opened the Southern-inspired bakery five years ago.

Southern Girl Desserts, which is located at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, offers one-of-a-kind cakes, puddings, cookies, pies, cobblers and more.
