A Victorian Escape Among The City Skyline At Angelino Heights
By Nicole Cormier
Southern California has no shortage of spectacular views, but sometimes the neighborhoods themselves, with their historic architecture and human appeal, make for the best sightseeing. When looking for a scenic and laid back drive, cruise through Angelino Heights to admire the Victorian era homes.
Angelino Heights is a neighborhood in the up-and-coming Echo Park area. Though the area is surrounded by many major roads and highways, there are only small streets to navigate the neighborhood, adding to the charm. Angelino Heights is the second oldest district in Los Angeles, and besides the Victorian homes, you will also see Craftsman, Bungalow, Mission Revival, Art Deco, and Colonial Revival. Driving down Carroll Avenue and Douglas Street will take you past some of the more beautiful properties.
When driving through Angelino Heights or any other Los Angeles neighborhood you’ll want to turn heads while cruising in comfort. A 2014 E250 BlueTEC Sport Sedan from Mercedes-Benz of Encino boasts top-notch handling and an impressively sleek exterior, so while you’re admiring the neighborhood, the residents will be admiring your refined taste in machinery.
