STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

Trish Steele of Safe Passage and Susan Sengezer, domestic violence advocate, radio host and author, stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to tell viewers about Safe Passage’s 3rd Annual Gala “It’s Not Okay”!

Approximately 1.9 million women are physically assaulted annually in United States.

“It’s Not Okay”, Safe Passage’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign event, will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at Luxe Sunset Hotel, 11461 Sunset Blvd. in Brentwood at 5:30 p.m.

The event, which will be hosted by CBS2 anchor Pat Harvey, will include a red carpet reception, live entertainment, live auction and live testimonies of the women that have broken the cycle of domestic violence.
