Deputies Searching For Man Suspected Of Sexually Harassing Young Girls In Temecula Park

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — Riverside County deputies are searching for a man suspected of sexually harassing two young girls in separate incidents at a Temecula park.

Deputies say the possible suspect approached the girls last Monday at Wolf Creek Park near Pechanga Parkway within 40 minutes of each other. The young girls did not know one another.

Both got away frightened but unharmed.

"It's kind of unusual, this is like the first time it's happened pretty much," said 14-year-old Marissa, who lives near the park where deputies said the incident happened.

The teen avoids going to the park alone and always walks her dog with her parents.

Neighbors say the area -- located near Pechanga Casino and within walking distance of a school -- is considered kid-friendly.

"A public area like that you always wonder, there's always a possibility for some nefarious activity going but like I say, I've almost never seen it," said Temecula resident Dave Giberson. "The only thing I've ever seen around here that's worried me is coyotes."

Deputies say the possible suspect is in his twenties and speaks English with a Spanish accent. He is described as having a small mustache and and acne.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
