2014 Tournament Of Roses Royal Court Selected

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Monday announced the seven final members of the 2014 Royal Court.

The women were selected from a group of 1,000 applicants and will attend more than 100 community and media functions as ambassadors of the Tournament and the city through 2014.

"The announcement follows a month-long process in which almost 1,000 Pasadena-area young women participated. The Tournament's Queen and Court Committee made its selections based on a number of criteria including poise, speaking ability, academic achievement, and community and school involvement," Leslie Unger of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association said.

The seven Rose Princesses are: Ana Maria Acosta, 17, of Polytechnic School; Sarah Elizabeth Hansen, 19, of Pasadena City College; Kayla Diyana Johnson-Granberry; 17, of Pasadena High School; Jamie Ann Kwong, 17, of La Salle High School; Katherine Diane Lipp, 17, of La Cañada High School; Elyssia Hadi Widjaja, 17, of San Marino High School; and Elizabeth Katie Woolf, 17, of La Cañada High School.

The Rose Queen, who will be selected from the finalists, will be announced and coronated on Oct. 24.
