Suspect Wanted For Alleged Attempted Sexual Assault At UCLA Surrenders

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A suspect wanted for an attempted sexual assault on the campus of UCLA has turned himself in, according to officials.

UCLA Police say Daniel F. Hoyos Isaza, a 20-year-old Santa Clarita man, surrendered Sunday.

Hoyos Isaza will be booked into LASD custody at the Inmate Reception Center Downtown.

Police said around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning Hoyos Isaza grabbed a woman from behind at 310 De Neve Drive (Rieber Hall) and attempted to sexually assault her.

The suspect was interrupted by two passersby and left the area.

Police said before he left the campus, he also grabbed the buttocks of another female.

Campus police did not say if Hoyos Isaza is a student.
